Dr. Brian Moraes is board certified in Internal Medicine and has been practicing in Boca Raton since 2001. He is a fourth generation physician whose parents both had successful practices in South Florida for over thirty years. He has been living in South Florida since the age of seven and in Boca Raton since 1985. Dr. Moraes went to medical school at NOVA-Southeastern University followed by his residency and fellowship training at Tulane School of Medicine in New Orleans. During his time in practice he has received several awards including being named West Boca Medical Center physician of the year in 2010. He also served as chairman of the department of medicine at West Boca Medical Center from 2008 to 2010. He has extensive training in preventative medicine and is a member of the American Society of Preventative Cardiology.
Dr. Moraes has made available to his patients the most advanced laboratory and diagnostic testing available. His practice, although largely traditional allopathic and osteopathic medicine, also encompasses those aspects of holistic and natural medicine that have been validated by scientific literature. He regularly attends continuing education courses that include a very diverse range of topics such as vitamin supplementation, genetic screening, nutrition and epidemiology. He is married to Dr. Michele Moraes, a successful dermatologist in Boca Raton.
